01 | Business Context
When Manufacturing Standards Go Global, So Must the Robot
For Schneider Electric, a robot is more than an automation device. It is an integral part of a global manufacturing system.
From Europe to Asia, the Americas to Southeast Asia, factories across different countries operate to the same manufacturing standards. Every robot deployed on these production lines must therefore deliver consistent performance, stable quality, and long-term reliability.
For a robotics supplier, meeting these requirements takes more than product performance. R&D, quality management, engineering validation, and global certification capabilities must all stand up to the demands of a global manufacturing network.
Becoming part of Schneider Electric’s global supply chain was more than a business partnership. It was a rigorous test of a Chinese robotics company’s ability to meet the standards of global manufacturing.
02 | Challenges
Why Did One Robot Need Four Years of Testing?
Schneider Electric was not looking for a robot with higher specifications. It was looking for a partner capable of supporting its global manufacturing network over the long term.
For QKM Robotics, the challenge went beyond product testing. It required comprehensive validation across R&D, manufacturing, certification, and delivery.
Consistent Quality Worldwide
The same robot model needed to be deployed across factories in different countries. It had to deliver consistent motion performance, accuracy, and reliability to maintain unified manufacturing standards worldwide.
Reliability for Long-Term Operation
The robots needed to remain stable in continuous, high-cycle production environments, under demanding conditions including high speed, full load, and vibration.
Global Market Access
Beyond performance requirements, the products needed to meet international certification and regulatory requirements, including CE, UL, KCs, EMC, and IP65.
Quality Across the Product Lifecycle
From R&D and product validation to engineering tests, quality traceability, and delivery management, every stage required a standardized system to ensure consistent and reliable delivery worldwide.

Four Years of Work. Every Detail Built to Global Standards.
To meet the demanding requirements of Schneider Electric’s global manufacturing network, QKM Robotics went beyond individual product improvements. It built a comprehensive quality validation system covering the entire robot lifecycle.
This was more than a product development project. It was a comprehensive upgrade of R&D, engineering, and quality capabilities.
Reliability Starts in R&D
31 R&D engineers spent four years continuously refining the robot’s mechanical structure, motion control algorithms, drive system, and reliability design.
More than 300 technical reviews were completed, bringing every design iteration closer to the requirements of global manufacturing.
Long-Term Reliability, Tested Under Extreme Conditions
To validate long-term stability, LQ Automation deployed six SCARA robots for continuous operation over six months under extreme conditions, including full speed, full load, and vibration.
Each test went beyond verifying whether the robot could operate. It tested whether the robot could operate reliably over the long term.
Built for Global Certification
To meet global application requirements, the robots completed international certifications including CE, UL, KCs, EMC, and IP65.
These certifications established a consistent standard for deployment across global manufacturing sites and provided greater assurance for customers deploying robots worldwide.
From Product Delivery to Global Manufacturing Capability
QKM Robotics ultimately passed Schneider Electric’s global supplier qualification process and became its global SCARA robot partner.
The recognition went beyond a single product. It demonstrated QKM Robotics’ capability to support a global manufacturing network.
